Different styles of hat suit different people, with distinct preferences for the snugness of fit. With that in mind I am happy to accept returns for any pre-made hat (at your own cost). All returned hats will be freshly laundered before re-sale.
If a particular hat in the shop takes your fancy, but you have some questions, please don’t hesitate to send me an email.
Looking after your hat
With very minimal attention your hat should last you a lifetime. Here are a few pointers to keep it looking fresh and fuzzy.
Protect from moths! I cannot emphasise this enough. They love to feast on wool and will quickly pepper the felt with tiny little holes. Natural deterrents include cedar balls and Lavender Bags which will also leave your hat smelling fragrant and wonderful. For extra security (or if your home is particularly moth prone) consider popping it in a storage bag or box.
Avoid flattening or folding as this will create creases. They should disappear upon wearing and won’t cause permanent damage. For particularly deep indents wash as per guidelines and reshape.
The dark flat colour hats (particularly black) will show up fluff. Use a soft clothes bush or lint remover to keep the wool surface looking tidy.
Taxes and Import Fees
Please note that any customs duties, import taxes, or handling fees that may be charged upon delivery are the responsibility of the customer. These charges vary by country and are outside of our control.
We recommend checking with your local customs office for more information about any potential fees before placing your order.
Unfortunately, I’m currently unable to ship to parts of Europe affected by the new General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR). As a one-person business, the cost and complexity of meeting the new compliance requirements are just too much for me to take on at the moment. I really appreciate your understanding.
